Da Nang int’l fireworks to be annual event

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has entrusted the Da Nang City government to organize an annual international fireworks contest, after the success of the first event in March this year in the central coastal city.

nternational teams in the contest, which will not use the state budget, are allowed to carry their own fireworks, according to a document issued by the PM on May 8.

PM Dung assigned the municipal government to organize the program and regulations, and join hands with relevant agencies to supervise the fireworks and run the contest.

Four teams from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Canada and Vietnam competed this year.
